THE SENIOR TRAVELLER December, 2009 11
SENIORS Coach Tours, which offers
value-packed coach holidays through-
out Australia, has some exciting new itin-
eraries for 2010.
Its 2010 60-page colour brochure is
packed with holiday ideas.
For those interested in visiting Victoria,
tours often take in unique attractions
including Opera in the Alps in the north-
eastern town of Beechworth every January.
For the performance next month a 50-piece
orchestra and 100-voice choir will join
soloists Marina Prior and David Hobson.
The five-day holiday departing on
January 16 costs $985 per person twin
share which includes reserved seats.
Another tour is off to the Edinburgh
Tattoo in Sydney in February. The 10-day
coach holiday from Melbourne includes
Gold Class Tattoo seats, overnight stays at
Albury and Campelltown, and two nights at
the 4-star Vibe, North Sydney.
While in Sydney the group will enjoy a
harbour dinner cruise before travelling on
to Batemans Bay and spending three nights
back at Lakes Entrance. Only 10 places
remain from $2495 per person twin share.
A 12-day Tasmanian itinerary includes a
Gordon River luncheon cruise on board
Lady Jane Franklin II and a journey on the
ABT rack and pinion railway which travels
through wilderness country between
Strahan and Queenstown.
The tour is priced from $2495 per person
twin share (single supplement $495).
Over the past few years Seniors Coach
Tours has developed State-based
Highlights holidays. Next year it will intro-
duce a South Australian Highlights tour
which includes Kangaroo Island, Flinders
Ranges and Port Lincoln, along with a 12-
day NSW Inland Highlights tour travelling
to Dubbo, Bourke, Lightning Ridge,
Armidale and the Hunter Valley.
A third new holiday is a 13-day tour to
North Queensland, flying to Rockhampton
and travelling as far north as Cooktown
with four nights in Cairns.
Western Australia remains a favourite
with an 11-day Kimberley tour flying into
Darwin and out of Broome. You can also fly
to Broome and take a leisurely coach jour-
ney south to Perth.
The Southern Highlights tours take
advantage of the wildflower season, and in
October there will be a special trip across
