ONE of Australia's truly iconic events,
The Great Australian Outback Cattle
Drive, will be held in South Australia
between July 30 and August 29, offering
people the opportunity to drive cattle by
day and sleep in comfort at night.
The biannual event takes place along
one of the famous droving tracks.
The five-day, four-night tour allows par-
ticipants to live the life of a drover by day,
and then at night enjoy delicious food and
wine, a warm campfire, luxury tents and

The tour costs $3200 and includes four
nights' accommodation at Anna Creek
campsite, all meals, non-alcoholic drinks,

Live a drover 's life
THE Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk has
introduced sunrise walks.
Located in the NSW Southern
Highlands, less than two hours from
Sydney or Canberra, it offers a unique way
to experience the rainforest and breathtak-
ing views of the Illawarra escarpment.
Visitors can take the 500-metre walk
through the treetop canopy, which opens
to breathtaking views from the escarp-
ment over the Illawarra and on to the
sea.Hosted sunrise walks will take place on
the second Saturday of every month, fol-
lowed by a hot buffet breakfast at Cafe 106.
Numbers are limited and bookings are
essential. Sunrise walks cost $50 per per-
son, including breakfast, with a 10 per
cent discount to groups of 10 or more.
