MARIO and Viny Vitellone of Vita
Italian Tours now have itineraries
available for 2011.
They specialise in small group tours to
Italy which are personally escorted and
fully inclusive, apart from airfares.
Each May and September travellers are
escorted on a popular 17-day Grand Tour
visiting some of the most exciting destina-
tions on the Italian Peninsula.
The tour starts in Rome and includes
an in-depth visit to the Vatican and the
Sistine Chapel. Then it's off to Sorrento to
visit Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast, stop-
ping at gems like Positano and Amalfi.
There are visits to Renaissance hill-
towns such as Urbino, Gradara, Loreto
and the tiny Republic of San Marino.
Then comes a two-day stay in a Venetian
villa to explore the delights of Venice.
Finally there is a stay in the wonderful
city of Florence and visits to ancient
towns like Siena, San Gimignano and a
special day tour to the Chianti area. A sav-
ing of $200 applies if the tour is booked
and paid before the end of the year.
Viny and Mario love to introduce trav-
ellers to the lesser-known areas, in partic-
ular the Le Marche region to the east of
central Italy on the Adriatic side. They
have a nine-day tour exploring the treas-
ures of this unspoilt region.
Lovers of beautiful mountain scenery
and clean crisp air will enjoy The
Northern Lakes and Dolomites Tour in
July, while the Opera and Food Tour in
August is a favourite for those who enjoy
opera and local cuisine. In September The
Best of Tuscany, Umbria and Le Marche
tour concentrates on the sights and treas-
ures of central Italy.
